The lawmaker thanked the celebrant for his sacrifices and immense contributions to the success of Governor Makinde’s administration since 2019, adding that the good character, loyalty, and excellent relationship between the both of them are worthy of emulation.
Agboworin, however, prayed that the God Almighty would grant Baba Lawal long life and prosperity in good health in the coming years.
The statement read, “I want to use the opportunity to heartily congratulate His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal and his family on this milestone of his impactful life.
“Equally, I rejoice with the family over God’s abundant grace in the life of Barr. Lawal has shown good character, loyalty, and dedication in several capacities and continues in the tradition of diligence and excellence in the service to the Oyo State government.
“All of these have proven that a deputy can work harmoniously with the governor, and yet carve a niche for himself.
“Baba is a man who has the fear of God. He has shown a great deal of loyalty to the governor. He is very humble, loyal, and dedicated to the governor’s cause.
“I am saying this because I have known Baba for a very long time. He wants the best for his followers and the state at large. So, I am not surprised that his relationship with the governor has been very smooth and cordial. This, indeed, is worthy of emulation.
“So, I want to pray for long life and prosperity in good health as well as pray for God’s guidance over his life as he continues to navigate his political journey. “Baba wa, igba odun, odun kan ni o. E ma pe fun wa, Sir.”
