Oyo State PDP: Put The Party First – Busari Olayemi Charges Oyo Central PDP Chairmen

Hon. Busari Olayemi while addressing the 11 PDP Local Government chairmen that paid him a courtesy visit at his private office in Ibadan on Thursday 29th July, charged the party chairmen to put the party first in any decision they are making, this he said in response to their call for his leadership support for the success of the party in Oyo Central senatorial district in forthcoming 2023 general elections.

It will be recall that PDP lost all the National Assembly seats available (5 house of Rep members and Senate) and 4 State Assembly to the APC in 2019 general elections. He advised them to be honest when dealing with party members and carry everybody along in their doings, He said the party is better positioned now than the way it was in 2019 because those that went to other parties then are now back in the party.
He advised the chairmen to be 100% loyal to the Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, who is the party leader in the state, He said the Governor is doing his best to make sure that people of Oyo state enjoy good governance, all lovers of good things must support the governor to make Oyo state the best place to live in Nigeria.
The chairmen requested the he should run for Senate in 2023, because he has all the quality of a good leader, that he shouldn’t limit his good leadership style to Egbeda/Ona Ara alone, and he responded that it is the Governor that will determine where an individual will be useful for the progress of the party and Oyo state at large.
The chairmen also requested that all those that will be appointed should be people that are accessible, people that have the love of the party in mind, so that the party can grow stronger at the grassroots, popular candidates should be feed for various positions. They also requested that the party should retain it’s wining team by not changing it’s executives at the local level.
The names of the Chairmen present are: Hon. Oyeleye Gideon (Ogo Oluwa LG), Surv. Tijani Muideen (Atiba LG), Mr. Salau Tajudeen (Oyo West), Mr. Adedeji Sola Aderiola (Afijio), Mr. Ganiyu Mojed A (Oyo East), Pa. Abel Aborisade (Egbeda), Mr Adegbola M. O. (Oluyole), Hon. Olagoke Suraju (Akinyele), Chief Adegoke (Lagelu), Mr. Adebayo Adeyeye (Surulere) and Hon Mosobalaje Bakare ( Ona Ara).
Other dignitaries at the meeting are Hon Lukman Adesina, Hon. Yinka Bibire, Hon Agunbiade, Hon Mayowa Oladejo, Pa Amos Olawoyin Vice chairman Egbeda LG and Mrs Toyin Oyebamji Vice Chairman Afijio LG
