…… Kobomoje Community Erupts in Joy as Hon. Tilewa Folami Provides Potable Water Project
The Director-General of the Oyo State Investment and Public-Private Partnership Agency (OYSIPA), Hon. Saheed Tilewa Folami, on Saturday, 12th July 2026, commissioned a borehole water project at Kobomoje Community, Ward 4, Ibadan South-East Local Government Area, in honour of the cherished memory of his late grandfather, Chief Ladipo Erinfolami.
The newly completed borehole, equipped with a brand-new generating set, was donated to provide a reliable source of potable water for residents of Kobomoje Community and neighbouring areas. The project is expected to significantly improve access to clean water, promote better hygiene, and enhance the overall well-being of the people.
Speaking during the commissioning, the community leader, Baba Ogundeji, described the project as timely and impactful. He commended Hon. Tilewa Folami for his generosity, compassion, and commitment to improving the living conditions of the people. Baba noted that the borehole would bring lasting relief to residents who had struggled for years to access clean water, while offering prayers for greater success and divine blessings upon the donor.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Ibadan South-East PDP/APM Alliance, Mr. Olajide Emmanuel, recalled that Hon. Tilewa Folami had, barely two months ago, delivered a similar intervention in Ward 11 of Ibadan South-East Local Government, where he constructed a modern four-compartment toilet facility alongside a borehole to address the community’s water and sanitation challenges. He praised the consistency of Hon. Folami’s community development efforts encouraged him to remain steadfast in serving humanity.
In his remarks, Hon. Tilewa Folami urged community leaders, youths, and residents to take collective ownership of the facility by ensuring its proper maintenance and protection. He stressed that preserving public infrastructure would encourage more developmental projects in the community.
Hon. Folami further reassured residents of Ibadan South-East Local Government of his continued commitment to delivering meaningful, people-oriented projects. He stated that, under the leadership of the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde, the Omituntun 3.0 administration remains committed to providing quality governance and sustainable development that directly improves the lives of the people.
Among dignitaries present at the commissioning were Hon. Opeyemi Modiu Alabamusa, Member representing Ibadan South-East State Constituency 1, the Ibadan South-East PDP Public Relations Officer, Hon. Adekunle Jimoh, Local Government Youth Leader, Hon. Kazeem Ajibiyi, Hon. Ibrahim Ketuketu, the Ward 8 Chairman, Mr. Kola Oyetunji, S.A to the Chairman, Hon. Alatise, the Ward 4 PDP Chairman, Alhaji Abass Anisere, alongside ward executives, former party officials, community leaders, party faithful, supporters, and other well-wishers.
The event ended on a joyous note, with residents expressing profound appreciation for the life-changing intervention, affirming that indeed, water is life.
