The political system in Nigeria has remained iron-gated manned by mean and supercilious political ironsides whose goal in governance is to perpetuate personal and clannish interests.
The masses are treated as expendables needed to foster their political ambitions and are considered as cannon fodder only required to further and feather their access to power, private accumulation of national resources and state capture.
However, this situation in the face of Honourable Abass Adigun Agboworin, a Member of the Federal House of Representatives poise a difference with his kind of stewardship and ideology of giving back to the society as the political system continues to recycle leadership, promote senescent, infirm and affirm a decadent gerontocracy with spent visionary appetite for the pursuit of true national leadership and transformation.
His love for the downtrodden and the constituents within his jurisdictions has been a drive to create an avenue for the people to be Economically Independent in terms of job creation while majority fall inline with the Youthful Demography.
This political disillusionment is a youth bulge full of existential dread because of the scarcity of opportunities or elite colonisation of the inadequate opportunities that the system allocates to them.
These youths are largely unemployed or underemployed. They seem only useful to the political managers and party machineries during electioneering campaigns or as soldiers in their private camp.
In view of this, Honourable Abass Adigun Agboworin has chose to be a Lifter of Glory as he orchestrated the act of taking up many Futuristic Employer of Labour.
As part of his commitment towards bettering people’s lots and to get his constituents involve in start up business of their own and to begin a new life, Honourable Abass Adigun Agboworin empowered over 100 Young Persons with cash each coupled with starter pack, umbrellas, tables and chairs alongside the POS machine.
This initiative was unusual in the history of our federal constituency as no representatives has ever embarked on such ground breaking Mega Empowerment going by historically analysis of his stewardship to the constituents in the past.
A 2-days training of beneficiaries took place at Tabantari Hotel, Elekuro Ibadan on how to operate the android machines, making records of transactions and errors, how to address and engage customers in business which involves cash transactions.
Eventually on 26th February, 2022 at CAC Orita-Aperin Grammar School, the federal lawmaker further rekindled the hope of over 100 youths and womens when they were all trained in mini-banking system which is known as POS, Each beneficiaries were given an electronic POS machine, chair, table, umbrella, banner and start-up cash of twenty thousand naira.
The federal lawmaker who is also the Vice Chairman, House Committee on Air force is part of the lawmakers that’s questing to help the youths and women to become self-reliant and also improve their economic status in their various communities which is always a human oriented and are always towards building a better tomorrow for the people of his federal constituency.
Honourable Abass Adigun Agboworin has remain cynosure of reality in building the youth and constituents in a way that will drive away abject poverty from our society.
The track records on this empowerment on POS has really made somebody out of nobody and made possibility out of impossibility of potential youths.
He has promised to continue to make the youth and constituents of the Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency get the dividend of democracy in area that will make them self-reliant.
Honourable Abass Adigun Agboworin second coming will surely drive out hooliganism and brigandage from our federal constituency.
