Chairman House committee on Environment and councilor representing Ibadan North-East LG Ward 3, Hon. Azeez Olalekan Kabir has empowered over 60 constituents through a targeted intervention aimed at improving livelihoods and strengthening grassroots economic capacity in his constituency, the program was done on Wednesday 29th April, 2026 during ward 3 meeting.

Beneficiaries include 40 constituents, 17 wards executives, 2 local Government executives and 10 members of the party PDP.

The lawmaker said the initiative was designed to provide practical support to beneficiaries, many received financial assistance to enhance their trades and small businesses.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony, Hon Azeez noted that sustainable development at the grassroots requires deliberate investment in people, adding that empowering constituents remains a key part of his legislative agenda.

He stressed that the programme was not a one-off gesture but part of a broader strategy to reduce unemployment and stimulate local economic growth, particularly among youths and women.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the support, describing it as timely and impactful, with many pledging to make judicious use of the items to improve their standard of living.

Hon. Kabir reaffirmed his loyalty to the government of his Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde in full commitment to people-oriented programmes, assuring constituents of continued representation that prioritises welfare, economic empowerment and inclusive development.

The program was graced by ward stakeholders, PDP Local Government executive led by Baba Isiaka Fatokun Abuye.
