Member, House of Representatives, representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, Vice-chairman House Committee On Airforce, Hon. Abass A. Adigun (Agboworin) has sympathised with the constituents over unforeseen hardship occasioned by scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) as well as Naira scarcity,  he called for patience in finding lasting solutions to the problem.

Honourable Abass Adigun made the appeal on Saturday in a statement by his Special Assistant (Media & Communications), Aremu Ibraheem.” In the last few weeks, residents have grappled with fuel scarcity not because of the absence of supply of products but due to deliberate hike of pump price of PMS by the marketers which has created hardship on the citizens.

“Let me once again appeal to the residents of my constituency to be patient with government in finding lasting solutions to the crisis,” Agboworin said.

In this vein, he appealed to traders and residents of Agodi-gate, Iwo-road, Abayomi and its environs to remain calm as Federal Government will find lasting solution to issue of Naira scarcity.

He noted the struggles and real fights recorded in banking halls, ATM and POS points, and markets across the country are bothersome. The choice of this period for the implementation of a policy, which bears an instant negative impact with no discernible mitigation in sight, raises serious doubt on the need for the policy on the part of the CBN

Hon. Agboworin noted that his people deserve the best and call on the federal government to set the country on the right path for effective availability of petroleum products availability and sustainability,”  That the naira scarcity came amid the scarcity of petrol and a hike in the price and this is affecting the sales across the nation.
