South West zonal Exco meeting on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 19/20/21 Nov. 2024.
Review of Ondo Gov. Election:
1. Appreciating the two South West Governors, Seyi Makinde and Ademola Adeleke, And the National leadership of our great party for their immense contribution before, during, and after the election.
2. We wish to express disappointment in INEC for the poor conduct of the election, especially in cases of BVAS defects and delayed arrival of election materials in PDP strongholds.
3. We call on the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to exonerate his sacred office by investigating the alleged compromise by the security personnel posted to Ondo state for the conduct of the election and bring all perpetrators to book.
4. The party (PDP) calls on President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to call to order the unwarranted threats by the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to arm-twist the electoral process in Ekiti, Osun, and Oyo states, respectively, using its manipulation trademark. We affirm, without equivocation, that Ganduje lacks justification to speak on moral issues.
5 The South West PDP appeals to our teaming members to remain law-abiding even in the face of intimidation. As a party established by law, we shall continue to work with our legal team while we seek justice in due course.
