Rep. Member Abass Adigun Sponsored Bills On Establishment Of National Centre For Stroke and Youth Service Corps Passes Second Reading
Member, House of Representatives, representing Ibadan North-East/ South-East Federal Constituency, Vice chairman House Committee On Airforce, Hon. Abass A. Adigun (Agboworin) on the floor of the green chamber of the national assembly sponsored bill on the establishment of National Centre for Stroke Management for related matters passes second reading.
Rep. Abass Adigun moved for the second reading of the Bill and it was seconded by Rep. Babajimi Benson.
The Bill was voted on, approved for second reading, the Clerk read the long title and it was referred to the House Committee on Health Institutions.
The National Centre for Stroke Management Bill seeks to give more attention to the prevention, treatment and management of stroke in order to reduce the number of people who suffer the effects of stroke attack in the country.
It is against this background that this bill seeks to establish the National Centre for Stroke Management which would among others, provide diagnostic, curative and rehabilitative services.
The headquarters of the national centre for stroke management and related matters will be in Ibadan while other states will also get their centre.
