Providence Coalition, a sociopolitical group, has urged the senator for Oyo South Senatorial District, Senator (Dr) Kola Balogun, to remain focused in applying his mind to the good of his people and should not be distracted by shenanigans in the political circle.
The President of the group, Prince Niran Adeyoju, said this in a statement made available by his Media Aide, Tessy Armstrong-Bello, while reacting to Tuesday’s endorsement of Senator Balogun for a second term in office by constituents of Oyo South following the two-legged training on agricultural value chain in which 1,130 beneficiaries from the senatorial district were also empowered with N31 million to start their own small-scale businesses in agriculture produce.
According to the group, the endorsement did not come as a surprise given the senator’s laudable strides since his assumption of office as evidenced in numerous training and empowerment programmes, presentations of grants and loans to the people, distribution of transformers, solar lights, construction of classrooms, roads, boreholes to mention a few.
It observed that the lawmaker was on the right track in his resolve to give selfless service to his people, saying that by this, he is already etching his name in the golden pages of history.
