Prof. Aiyede’s Appointment Reflects Rich Intellectual Heritage Of University Of Ibadan – Agboworin Congratulates UI Don

The lawmaker representing Ibadan South East/North East federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun, popularly known as Agboworin, has congratulated a Nigerian renowned political scientist, Prof. Emmanuel Remi Aiyede, on his appointment as Extraordinary Professor in the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

In a congratulatory statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mayowa Okekale, Agboworin described the appointment of the Don, who is a Professor of Political Institutions, Governance and Public Policy at the University of Ibadan, as a well-deserved recognition of his intellectual excellence and contributions to the field of political science.

Agboworin, who also chairs the House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, noted that the Don’s achievement is not only a personal success but also a reflection of the rich intellectual heritage of the institution he represents, which is the University of Ibadan, Ibadan.

While saying that the Don’s new appointment in the University of Pretoria is a significant milestone in his illustrious academic career, He urged Nigerian scholars to strive for excellence in their respective fields.
