Politics they say is dynamic and unassuming, that is just the fair interpretation one could easily give to Senator Teslim Folarin’s one time video in circulation where he boastfully referred to Governor Seyi Makinde “as a baby governor” and one who could be easily tamed and as well manipulate his administration.
Sen. Teslim was quick to forget some basic principles of powers and the unassuming transformation it could have on the occupier of it. Governor Seyi Makinde has over the years displayed Consistency. He’s never an opportunist and not someone who only seeks for power without possessing the prerequisites for being a good leader.
Governor Seyi Makinde has proven beyond reasonable doubt, that governance is not a rocket science and at the same time it could be a rocket science depending on the determination and passion you have to succeed and turn around the comparative disadvantages to advantages.
Governor Seyi Makinde has translated his business brilliance into politics and governance by making significant impact on various strata of government ranging from road infrastructures to agriculture, health, economy, security, sports, education, workers welfare, pensioners gratuity, employment opportunities, etc and above all with human faces.
Governor Seyi Makinde has endeared himself to the heart of the masses of the State across all zones and nothing could change their love, acceptability and readiness to return him for another term and these has been causing jittery and restlessness in the opposition parties as this could be affirmed with their loss of focus, concentration, composure and even in words when ever they have to criticize GSM’s administration.
The Seyi Makinde, their once upon a ‘baby governor’ has now understood the game and performed far better than they expected as a governor and now giving Tessy and other guber candidates sleepless nights.
They now make blunders on live programmes just to find a soft landing to criticize all his lofty projects to the level of Sen.Teslim Folarin boldly saying he would gather a team of Engineers to convert GSM’s newly built bus terminals into a school hostel or library, forgetting the location of the bus terminals.
Considering the level of sleepless nights Gov. Seyi Makinde is giving other opponents, one could rightly conclude that Sen. Teslim Folarin would be regretting ever calling Governor Seyi Makinde a baby governor at the inception of his administration.
