In a deft move to stabilize the party, the PDP Governor’s Forum after it’s meeting in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital today gave opening for the ratification of Rt.Hon. SKE Udeh Okoye as the substantive National Secretary of the party.

The Forum in its communique read by the Chairman and Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Bala Mohammed, said it stood by it’s earlier decision in Asaba, recognizing Udeh-Okoye as the substantive National Secretary of the PDP.

The Forum however at today’s meeting resolved that in the wake of the recent judgement of the Supreme Court, the Deputy National Secretary is recommended to act as National Secretary to allow the South East Zone to nominate the substantive National Secretary.

The South East Zone which had stood by it’s nomination of Udeh-Okoye is now expected to, in the wake of the Supreme Court Judgment, return Udeh-Okoye to the National Working Committee of the Party as it’s nomination for the position in line with the provision of the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017)
