Member House Of Assembly Representing Ibadan South-East Constituency 2, who is also Chairman OYHA Committee on Local Government, Hon. Segun Ademola Popoola has been lauded for lifting his constituents out of poverty.
Hon. Popoola commissioned a borehole water project located at Ile tuntun Iyana Court, beside Nnpc Filling Station, Academy Olomi road, Ibadan before the commencement of the empowerment program which is to provide clean, clear and sufficient water for the people of the Iyana-court Ile-tuntun community and environment.
Hon. Segun Popoola during the empowerment program distributed fifty sewing machines, five generator sets, and also distributed cash to women, men and youth to support their various businesses.
Others are 20 hair dryers, 15 gas cylinders.
Also, gas cylinder, cash prizes were distributed to People’s Democratic Party PDP, leaders across the Ibadan South East local government.
Speaking at the flagging off of the empowerment programs , Hon. Segun said the program was to complement the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde good governance in human capacity development and service delivery.
The lawmaker appreciated his constituents for their support and confidence reposed on him, saying he will continue to represent them and ensure dividends of democracy get to them.
Mrs Funke commended the lawmaker for his kind gesture to lift his constituents out of poverty.
Hon. Abiodun charged the beneficiaries of the empowerment program to use the items given to them judiciously, urged those who are yet to benefit from the lawmaker to wait for their time.
Dignitaries at the events includes Hon. Dare Adeleke, Hon. Abdullahi Rasaq Omo-sheu, Hon. Adebayo Babajide, Hon. Bamidele, Hon. (Surveyor) Deola, Hon. Owolabi Olusola, Hon. Teslim Ogundeji, Hon. Abiodun Ekolo, Baba Tiamiyu Abidikugu, Hon. Ademola Ige, Hon. Adesina, Hon. Abass Oloko and others.
Party leaders include Engr. Sulaimon Adesina Worldbest, Hon. Abass Balogun, Iya Kobiowu, Ward chairmans and other executives, women leaders, youth leaders and stakeholders.
