Ibadan, April 27, 2025 — It was a moment of celebration and pride for the people of Ibadanland as Hon. Abiodun Adedoja Ekòló was officially sworn in as Vice President 2 of the prestigious Ibadan Solidarity Group (ISG).
The grand swearing-in ceremony, which took place amidst fanfare, was graced by eminent personalities including Chief Bayo Oyero, Barrister Sulaimon Ajewole, President of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), and Alhaji Ademola Abiodun Ogunsesan (FCA), among other distinguished sons and daughters of Ibadanland.
Hon. Ekòló, a respected statesman and former Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, has been widely celebrated for his commitment to the socio-political development of Ibadan and beyond. His emergence as Vice President 2 of ISG is seen as a recognition of his unwavering dedication to the ideals of unity, cultural preservation, and progressive leadership within Ibadanland.
In his remarks, Hon. Ekòló expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of ISG for the confidence reposed in him, pledging to serve with transparency, inclusiveness, and a renewed focus on the growth and solidarity of Ibadan people at home and in the diaspora.
