Ibadan South-East Local Government chairmanship aspirant, Asiwaju Wasiu Kongi Olanrewaju, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in the council area and across Oyo State on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
Asiwaju Wasiu described the festival as a sacred period of sacrifice, obedience, love and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, urging Muslims to uphold the virtues of peace, tolerance and compassion which the celebration represents.
The chairmanship hopeful particularly congratulated residents of Ibadan South-East Local Government for witnessing another Ileya celebration in good health and prosperity, while praying for continuous peace, unity and progress in the local government and Oyo State at large.
He also called on the people to use the festive period to promote harmony, support one another and extend kindness to the less privileged in society, stressing that collective responsibility remains key to community development.
Asiwaju Wasiu further prayed that the blessings attached to Eid-El-Kabir would bring joy, abundant grace and renewed hope to every household, wishing all Muslim faithful a peaceful and memorable celebration.
