Member representing Ibadan North-East/Ibadan South-East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, has lauded Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, for the arrival of the state’s first surveillance aircraft, describing the development as a bold and strategic investment in the security of lives and property.
Agboworin, in a statement signed by his Media Group on Wednesday, said the acquisition of the aircraft demonstrates Governor Makinde’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the state’s security architecture and ensuring that residents continue to enjoy peace and stability.
According to the federal lawmaker, the deployment of modern surveillance technology will significantly enhance intelligence gathering, improve rapid response to security threats, and support the operations of security agencies across the state.
He further noted that the aircraft would be particularly useful in monitoring forests, border communities and other vulnerable areas where criminal elements often operate.
The statement said, “The arrival of this surveillance aircraft is another testament to Governor Seyi Makinde’s visionary leadership and proactive approach to governance. Security remains the foundation upon which sustainable development thrives.
“This investment will undoubtedly strengthen the capacity of our security agencies to tackle emerging threats.
