In the Yoruba tradition, we say: “A tree that grows tall provides shade for the younger ones.” This proverb reflects the kind of leadership Rt. Hon. Abass Adigun (Agboworin) has demonstrated to the people of Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency.
He is not merely a politician seeking power for personal ambition; he is a leader who has demonstrated commitment, integrity, and genuine concern for his people. Since his emergence as a representative, he has continued to serve as a voice for the less privileged, a source of hope for the youth, and a dependable representative of the people.
Across Ibadan North-East and South-East, his efforts speak for him. Where some make promises, Agboworin has demonstrated a commitment to tangible service. His interventions have touched different communities, while his representation continues to reflect the aspirations and interests of his constituents.
The youth have benefited from empowerment initiatives, women have received support, and students have benefited from educational assistance and other interventions. This is why many people can confidently say:

In politics, a third term should not simply be about retaining power. It should be about rewarding effective representation, preserving continuity, and allowing a proven leader to build upon the work already started.

Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin has gained valuable experience in legislative representation and community service. That experience can be further deployed to achieve greater development for our people.
