Member House Of Representatives, representing Ibadan North-East/South-East federal constituency, Hon. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), on Saturday, touched the lives of his constituents again at the Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency in Oyo State, under the umbrella of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where he distributed several items to beneficiaries.
Rep. Abass Adigun on Saturday during the empowerment program distributed Six tricycles, four motorcycles, one hundred and fifty laptops, eighty sewing machines, twenty freezers, twenty-four generators, one hundred and fifty pos machines with table, chair, umbrella and startup fund each, eighty-five grinding machines and sixty-five hair dryers.
At Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin constituency outreach programme and 2022 mega empowerment held at the CAC Football Pitch, Adesola Olorunsogo in Ibadan South-East LG, education scholarship were given to students who benefited from Agboworin Free Tutorial Center/Jamb Center, Adebayo Waris, Raji Hammed, Babalola Rodiat are students at the University of Ibadan and College of Health respectively, to support their academic at the tertiary institution, teachers were also given grants to boast their morals and to ease teaching.
The event, attended by Honourable commissioner for local government and chieftains matter, Chief Bayo Lawal, Pacesetter Transport Chairman, Hon. Dare Adeleke, Hon. Segun Popoola, Hon. Teslim Ogundeji, Hon. Fatia Adesina, Hon. Abiodun Ekolo, Engr. Akeem Olatunji Oyo State PDP Publicity Secretary, Mogaji Abass Oloko, SSA On Local Government matters, Hon. Adeyinka Adeniyi Bibire representing Alhaja Mutiat Ladoja at the event, Ibadan South-East LG PDP Chairman Engr. Sulaimon Adesina, Ibadan North-East PDP Chairman Baba Fatokun Abuye, Baba Remi Yusuf, Baba Olaoti, Alhaji Hassan and others witnessed the presentation of certificate and financial support to 450 youth and womens of skill acquisition training in making throw Pillows, Bed sheets, Duvets, other Home Decorating materials and phone repairs.
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains and Executive Chairman of the Oyo Pacesetter Transport, Hon. Dare Adeleke has said that the lawmaker, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin deserves a second term.
Hon. Adeleke, a former youth leader of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP made this declaration at the empowerment program of the lawmaker on Saturday.
Hon. Adeleke said he hasn’t seen a federal lawmaker like Agboworin before adding that he will support him for a second term, hoping other lawmakers will emulate the good work Agboworin is doing.
Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Abass Adigun said the event was organised to appreciate and witness the benefits of the interaction between a legislator and his constituents.
“Our responsibility as legislators is to feel the pulse of our constituents and work to address their needs. I have always had a passion for lifting people from poverty and have tried to focus on touching the lives of people in our constituency.
“This follows the numerous infrastructural projects we have attracted to this constituency, like classrooms, boreholes, solar street lights and other infrastructure in our communities, Hon. Abass facilitated numerous employment for youths to improved the standard of living of youths and our people”.
Speaking, Mogaji Abass Oloko extolled the lawmaker saying his kind gesture of lifting his constituents out of poverty is commendable which has never happened in the constituency for over a long period.
Alhaji Abass noted that Hon. Abass Agboworin has demonstrated to the world that he values and appreciates his constituents, adding that for his well done stride he deserves another four years and who ever want to contest in 2023 should cold down and wait till Agboworin complete his second tenure as federal lawmaker.
Hon. Adigun prayer is that these 2022 mega empowerment programs will, in one way or the other, not only positively improve the lives of our people but also our future.
“I remain committed to the attraction of more laws and interventions programs that will improve the lives of citizens, as well as more infrastructural projects, employment and empowerment of our peoples”.
