HON. KEHINDE FATONA DECLARES INTENTION TO CONTEST FOR COUNCILLORSHIP

A prominent grassroots politician and community development advocate, Hon. Kehinde Sakiru Fatona, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Councillorship seat of Ward 8 in Ibadan South-East Local Government Area.

Hon. Fatona made his intention known after extensive consultations with party leaders, community stakeholders, youths, women groups, and residents across Ward 8. According to him, the decision to join the race is driven by his desire to provide effective representation, promote community development, and ensure that the voices of the people are adequately heard at the grassroots level.

Speaking to news men on his ambition, Hon. Fatona stated that Ward 8 deserves purposeful leadership that will prioritize the welfare of the people, facilitate developmental projects, and strengthen the relationship between the government and the grassroots. He assured residents that his administration, if elected, would be anchored on transparency, accountability, inclusiveness, and service to humanity.

The aspirant further pledged to focus on youth empowerment, support for women and small businesses, improved community engagement, and the promotion of initiatives that will enhance the socio-economic well-being of the people of Ward 8 just like his role model, the man of the people,my leader and boss of my leaders, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin). He noted that meaningful development can only be achieved through collective efforts and active participation of community members.

Hon. Fatona expressed appreciation to political leaders, loyal supporters, and well-wishers who have continued to encourage him to seek the mandate of the people. He called on residents of Ward 8 to support his aspiration and join him in building a more democratic, united, and prosperous ward.

“As someone who understands the needs and aspirations of our people, I am committed to providing quality representation and ensuring that Ward 8 receives the attention and development it deserves. Together, we can create a brighter future for our community,” he said.
