The lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Abass Adigun Agboworin, has congratulated the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, on the occasion of his seventh year in office, describing his administration as one driven by purposeful leadership, people-oriented governance and remarkable developmental strides.
In a statement issued on Friday, by his Media Group, Agboworin praised Governor Makinde for what he described as a transformative style of leadership that has positively impacted various sectors of the state economy and improved the living conditions of the people.
According to the federal lawmaker, the Governor’s seven years in office have been marked by visible achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agribusiness, security, youth empowerment and economic expansion, adding that Oyo State has continued to witness steady growth under Makinde’s administration.
“Governor Seyi Makinde has demonstrated uncommon commitment to good governance and inclusive leadership over the past seven years. His administration has continued to deliver tangible dividends of democracy to the people across different parts of the state,” Agboworin stated.
He noted that the Governor’s policies and developmental initiatives have not only strengthened public confidence in government but have also positioned Oyo State as one of the leading states in terms of infrastructural renewal and economic opportunities in Nigeria.
Agboworin further commended Makinde for sustaining a governance style rooted in accountability, transparency and accessibility, saying the Governor has remained connected to the aspirations of ordinary citizens through responsive and people-focused leadership.
The lawmaker also acknowledged the Governor’s efforts in maintaining peace and stability across the state while ensuring that development reaches the grassroots.
While congratulating Makinde on the milestone, Agboworin called on residents of the state to continue supporting the administration with prayers and cooperation so that the Governor can finish his tenure strongly and successfully.
“As Governor Makinde marks seven impactful years in office, I urge the people of Oyo State to continue to pray for him and support his administration. Leadership requires wisdom, strength and divine guidance, and I believe our collective prayers will help him finish strong and leave even greater legacies for the state,” he added.
